QuicKnowledge and publisher Crisp Learning have formed a strategic online content development agreement. QuicKnowledge will develop at least 25 new online courses based on Crisps' popular Fifty-Minute series of books. Read by over 15 million learners, the series includes nearly 200 titles covering a broad range of business skills. The first eight QuicKnowledge / Crisp courses, including “Applying Emotional Intelligence Works in the Workplace,” “Successful Negotiation,” and “Telephone Skills for Quality Customer Service,” are now available online to QuicKnowledge subscribers. Crisp expects to convert two to three titles per month.
LMS provider GeoLearning has signed a strategic content partnership with GeneEd, a provider of e-learning content focused on life sciences. The two will pursue life science, scientific, and medical training business from customers in the public and private sectors. GeneEd has integrated its e-learning courseware within GeoLearning’s ASP-delivered GeoMaestro LMS and e-learning delivery platform.
Following a partnership with SkillSoft, software maker Macromedia has unveiled the Macromedia E-Learning Center, a subscription-based, interactive online training site for Macromedia Studio MX products. The center provides course libraries for Macromedia's Flash MX, Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks MX, ColdFusion MX, and FreeHand 10, as well as a solutions library that covers all of those products. The affordably priced libraries include anywhere from 45 to 165 hours of training.
Business and technology consultant Sapient Corporation has partnered with e-learning company KnowledgePlanet to deploy learning process management solutions for financial services clients. The two will combine KnowledgePlanet’s suite of hosted enterprise learning technologies and outsourcing services center with Sapient’s large-scale integration skills to pursue new business. The new partners recently implemented a learning process management solution for a leading global investment bank.
